We generally aren’t really beauty oil types of people but the utility of this product is shockingly good. This oil is an awesome moisturizer for your face that hasn’t made us break out, works great as an alternative to lotion on the rest of your body, helps reduce the impact of sun, wind, and general life damage to our hair and makes Nate’s beard feel silky smooth. For ease of simplicity and practicality on the boat, this is one of our all-around favorite items.

Use for beards after the shower to keep them soft, hydrated, and healthy. Apply to the ends of hair to tame flyaways, frizz, and bring the shape back to curls.

Founded by two sisters, Lindsey and Alison Delaplaine, Plaine Products began with a dream to have less plastic waste in the world.
Lindsey spent 10 years living and working in the Bahamas. There she saw firsthand the consequences of our disposable lifestyle with plastic on the beach, in the ocean, and along the roads. After looking around her bathroom and realizing how much plastic she owned, she called Alison and they started talking about how to change that, and how to make it easy for others to do the same.
Plaine Products is the culmination of their life experiences. Their late father was a small business entrepreneur throughout his life, a part of his family’s tradition, and their mother shared her love of the ocean and travel with them and their children. Coming from a nonprofit background Lindsey has made a career out of finding solutions. Alison has small business experience, a design degree, and the natural ability to ensure quality control. As sisters, they work well together and provide a balance for each other that benefits the company and its customers.
They spent a year researching natural products until theyfound some whose quality amazed themwhile staying true to our rule of being chemical-free. Theyrun all of the ingredients through the Environmental Working Group’s database to make sure they are safe and non-toxic.
